Using Outlook backup tool I backed up my personal folders (.pst) to a cd. Checking it was on the cd I tried opening it from the File Menu in Outlook and an error message comes up saying that it’s either corrupted or a different version.
I went onto ms office website and ran the scanpst,exe file, which then repaired my structure, and backed it up onto cd again.
Unfortunately it’s still not working. Did I do anything wrong?

I think you might find it will work if you IMPORT it to Outlook. Go File, Import/Export, then choose your file
